“Tis grace has brought us safe thus far and grace will bring us home”

Matt-and-Callie-Bostrom-Family18-Jun-11

Callie and I (Matt) met while we were both working for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) a campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America. I was born and raised in Colorado, and was sent to intern at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Callie, from Amarillo, TX, interned at Texas A&M. We dated and were engaged long distance for most of our internships (praise God that’s over now!) and were married in June of 2011.

We moved from Colorado to Charlotte, North Carolina so that I could attend seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary. While I studied and wrote papers, Callie worked for a web design company, though we both longed to be back on the college campus, meeting with students, talking about Jesus, throwing the Frisbee and drinking coffee.

Three years later the Lord graciously gave us an opportunity to move West and work with a church plant in Spokane, Washington. I served as the assistant pastor at Coram Deo PCA for over three years, with a focus on college and young adult ministry. I was able to have a hand in many different areas of pastoral ministry, preaching, teaching, discipleship, planning, and logistics in the church.  Callie worked in a local coffee shop near our house, until our son Mark was born in December 2017.

In early 2019, we moved back to Colorado Springs and got involved with a downtown church plant, Grace and Peace. I served alongside the pastor Vince as a part-time pastoral assistant, helping plan worship services, preach, and disciple congregants.

In November of 2019, I received a call to be the assistant pastor of Cornerstone PCA in Center Valley, PA.  My focus will be on community formation and discipleship.  Callie, Mark, and I will move to Pennsylvania in early January, and are excited to begin this new chapter of life and ministry.

Thank you for partnering with us as we proclaim the gospel of Christ!
