Bostrom Update

Many people have asked where we are now, how support is going, and what our plans are, so I thought I would update you all! But first, thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, financial support and love! God has been so kind to place people in our lives during this crazy time that speak truth and kindness to us.

Where are you now?
We are in Charlotte for two more weeks. We moved out of our apartment on Monday, August 31st, and are currently staying with a church family in their basement apartment. We packed one pod (technically, a ReloCube), and it is on its way to Spokane. It will sit in storage until we have new place to live.

I think we packed every square inch of that pod!

How is support raising?
Y’all! By God’s grace and your generous support, we are at 75%! We are so thankful and humbled at your generosity. Support raising can definitely be an exhausting time, but we have just felt so encouraged. Let me give you an example:

We had a little boy come with his family to one of our dessert nights. After Matt and I spoke, the father came up to us and said, “You really struck a chord with my little boy. He’s ready to empty his piggy bank and send in some support for y’all.” We smiled and thanked the family for coming. A couple of weeks later, Matt was checking our support account, and you know what, the boy sent in $9; he gave all he had! It reminded us of the widow in Mark 12:

“And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.'”

What a huge blessing that little boy was to us! It’s the best $9 we could have received.

How much more do you need?
We are so close to being fully supported! We are looking for about $1300 more in monthly gifts. If you would like to support us, please click here.

What are your upcoming plans?
We leave Charlotte in two weeks and will slowly make our way West. We will stop in Nashville to see friends, and then head to Amarillo for a wedding. From Amarillo we will go back to Colorado to continue to support raise and visit family before venturing to Washington. If you are along I-40 or in Colorado, we would love to see you!
